Brianna Alers Doc

Directed and Produced by Olivia Zimmerman - Coming Soon!

Bronx-born, Brianna Alers, never anticipated she would be titled the 2023 Silver Gloves female boxing champion. At 9 years old she first picked up the gloves in an effort to defend herself from the torment of schoolyard bullies. Now, seven years later, she’s using her platform to head anti-bullying advocacy efforts, while also fighting for her spot on the 2024 Junior Olympics team. As the number one female amateur boxer in the country, Brianna is a leader, armed with fierce ambition, empowering young women and paving the way for female boxers. But being on top comes with a cost, and the more she achieves, the more bullying and harassment she receives. A captivating documentary weaves her narrative through candid interviews and artful visuals, delving into the intricate tapestry of teenage emotions entwined within the multifaceted, politically-charged, male-dominated realm of boxing. Brianna Alers' odyssey transcends mere sport, encapsulating themes of resilience, empowerment, and the boundless potential to represent her nation on the grandest global stage.
